Energy measurement
The energy levels of individuals, teams, and organizations directly determine the employability, job satisfaction, and ultimately the success of your organization. An employee with optimal energy is not only more productive, but also more resilient and better able to cope with challenges.
The Energy Measurement provides insight into how your employees use and replenish their physical, mental, and emotional energy. This is particularly valuable for employees who want to improve their performance, increase their fitness, or are struggling with specific lifestyle issues. The methodology has been proven in top-level sports and rehabilitation programs and therefore provides a reliable basis for personal and organizational transformation.
Using Stans van der Poel's ‘Energy Control’ method (EC-HRV), we measure how your employee's autonomic nervous system responds to physical and mental stress. This provides concrete tools for sustainable improvements in health, energy levels, and work performance.
Procedure
The process consists of the following steps:
Prior to the measurement, your employee completes a short questionnaire:
• The resting measurement is performed, during which we record basic values (height, weight, BMI, fat percentage, blood pressure, blood oxygen level, amplitude).
The autonomic nervous system is measured, which provides insight into how the brain affects the body.
• We measure the presence of (chronic) stressors at rest and under stress.
• Heart rate and breathing are determined (frequency, breath, and rhythm) at rest and when mental stress is built up.
• The functioning of the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems is determined via HRV analysis.
• The exercise test is performed, in which we determine how energy is consumed and restored.
• Self-regulation of the brain and body is measured at rest and under stress.
• Optimal and maximum exercise load are determined based on potential and aptitude.
• The tipping point of energy consumption is identified.
• VO2 max. (maximum exercise level) is determined.
• Attention can be paid to specific obstacles (behavior, mental or emotional factors) and lifestyle issues (nutrition, sleep, unhealthy habits).
The complete measurement, including rest test, exercise test, and detailed discussion, takes a maximum of 2 hours and takes place at our office in Haarlem. Or on location for larger groups.
Conclusion and benefits
The Energy Measurement provides your employee with clear insight into what really gives him or her energy and where energy is lost. This leads to concrete actions: better sleep, more effective training schedules, mindfulness in daily routines, or adjustments in diet and work rhythm.
For your employee: A clearer picture of physical and mental capacities, greater job satisfaction through conscious energy management, increased capacity and resilience, and a personal step-by-step plan for sustainable health.
For your organization: Less absenteeism, improved employability, greater resilience of teams, and employees who perform better because they use their energy optimally. Employees with more energy are also more engaged and loyal.
Depending on the measurement results, follow-up guidance can be offered—aimed at further improving recovery capacity and physical and mental fitness. These follow-up interventions are fully customized and provided through a separate quote.
